Winter
Winter is a magical time at the Ripplecove. With the blanket of snow comes access to local downhill ski resorts or cross-country trails. Skaters will find an outdoor rink in the nearby town of Ayers Cliff. Those looking for something a little different can enjoy the Ripplecove’s complimentary horse-drawn sleigh rides every Saturday, or try their hand at ice fishing, a tradition on Lake Massawippi. The hotel supplies ice cutters and fishing gear and the chef will even cook up your catch of the day!

Culture
Despite its relatively small population, Quebec’s Eastern Townships is home to one of Canada’s most vibrant arts and cultural communities. From the variety of local galleries and museums to numerous local music and theatre venues in
many towns in the region, including the world-class Piggery Theatre in nearby North Hatley, there is always something interesting to discover.

The Townships is also home to Quebec’s burgeoning wine industry with vineyards spread across the region, many of them
on the “Route des vins,” which winds its way along the scenic country roads of the region.
